Cropsey Documentary Review

This is a well made documentary. It is about a disturbing subject. The documentary is about the abduction and murder of several special needs children. It chronicles the case up to present day. The film makers revisit the place where the murders took place on Staten Island. They also show the convicted killer Arthur Rand who worked at the insane asylum. He is clearly a man with issues. Reporter Geraldo Rivera even did a story about the insane asylum. The images were horrific of how the patients were being treated. The place was filthy and the patients were filthier. The name Cropsey came from an urban legend that parents would tell their kids to keep them in line. They would tell them Cropsey would get them. It was quite a surprise that Cropsey turned out to be true.

This documentary draws you into the case. You get to see the police officers and others that were involved with the case. It is very interesting and very compelling. I give it 4 out of 5 popcorn bags.
